Adoption Services Explained: What Birth Mothers Should Now

If you are pregnant and thinking about adoption, it is normal to have many questions. You may be wondering where to begin, what adoption services include, how you can choose an adoptive family, or what to expect at the hospital and after birth. This is where Full Circle Adoptions can help you.

We are a private adoption agency with three decades of experience in helping birth mothers navigate unplanned pregnancies. We support women who are considering adoption during pregnancy as well as those who contact us after giving birth. Our team can answer all adoption-related questions and support as you develop a plan that fits your needs.

Know Your Options

You do not need to know all the answers when you first contact an adoption agency. At Full Circle Adoptions, you can talk about your situation and ask questions. Our adoption social workers can explain the process, your choices, and the support that may be available to you.

Help With Your Adoption Plan

Your adoption plan will reflect your preferences. This includes the type of family you want for your baby. You can also share your wishes for the hospital and birth. Your plan may include who you want with you at the hospital, how you want the birth to go, and what you would like to happen after your baby is born.

Learn About Adoptive Families

Modern adoption allows you to learn about the families who want to adopt your baby. You can review the family profiles and learn about their home, family, work, interests, and hopes for raising a child. Depending on your situation, you may be able to talk with a family member before making your choice.

Support During Pregnancy

You may need support while you are pregnant. Full Circle Adoptions provides adoption services for pregnant and birth mothers, helping them navigate their adoption journey.

Based on your situation and your state laws, you may be eligible for assistance with transport, rent, housing, medical care, and emotional counseling, as well as support up to six weeks after placement.

What Happens After Adoption?

Your adoption plan may also address future contact with your child. Depending on the adoption plan, future contact may include photos, letters, phone calls, or visits. Other plans have less contact. Open, semi-open, and closed adoption may involve different levels of contact.
