Adoption Process

5 Step Adoption Process For Birth Mothers

1

Connect with a dedicated adoption consultant

Birth mothers will be connected to an adoption worker who will guide them through the entire adoption process. These include:

  • Completing your intake formalities
  • Understanding the reason you are considering adoption
  • Gathering important details like family medical history
  • Preparing your ID card
  • Providing counselling
  • Confirming pregnancy through medical documentation
As one of the reliable Christian adoption agencies in GA, we ensure the entire process is smooth and hassle-free. Through one-on-one discussion, we will also determine whether you will need financial assistance during your pregnancy and postpartum phase to help you make the best decision.
2

Choose a family

As a birth mother, everything related to your baby's adoption will be in your control. From reviewing prospective families' profiles to deciding whom to interview, everything will be your choice.

You can either speak to them or choose not to; it is your call. In the case of interviews, the waiting families you have shortlisted will connect either via telephone or video call, giving you a chance to decide if the family is a good fit for your baby. If you don't see the family in the first grouping, we will help you find the right family.

3

Create an adoption plan

When selecting an adoptive family, you may choose between open and closed adoptions. As a private adoption agency in Georgia, we also hire an attorney for each birth mother to answer your questions and guide you through the legal process.
4

Place the child with the adoptive parents

The baby will be placed with the adoptive parents only once the baby is ready for discharge from the hospital. The adoptive family will be placed in a local hotel until the attorney completes all the legal aspects of the adoption. Birth mothers can also visit the baby and family after discharge.

The adoptive parents can travel back home with the baby only once the birth mother signs the legal papers confirming adoption. Birth mothers who want updates on the baby will receive photos starting at discharge time, either via text or an app.

5

Post Placement Support

Counted among the top Christian adoption agencies in GA, Full Circle Adoption provides end-to-end support for the birth mothers throughout the pregnancy and postpartum. After childbirth, you will continue to receive emotional and financial support as arranged with your adoption worker for 6-8 weeks of postpartum.

We are dedicated to finding a post-adoption counselor and helping in transition services for birth mothers after delivery, as per individual request.
